Yesterday afternoon when Jon came home, he went out to play with the kids. I was more then happy to stay inside where it was warm. Don't you love Jon's "smile"?
They built a cute little snowman.
Jon started rolling the snow and it rolled up like a big ball of sod! Every bit of snow was picked up in his path.
Soon the snow roll was big enough to become a snow chair!
While they were outside playing, I made pizza. Jon said it was a rule that you have to eat pizza on nights that you play in the snow. His mom used to get pizza for Jon and his friends when they would go sledding. Jon's snow rules are pretty yummy!
This was the sky this morning before the sky cleared and the sun came up. It was really beautiful.
Then, in true North Carolina fashion, the snow melted. This is our backyard as of 30 minutes ago. Just a few bits of snow remain and who knows how long it will take Jon's snow roll to melt.

I'm already starting to look forward to our next snow. The forecast says we might get snow this weekend. My fingers are crossed!
