These are Khus-sa, they are basically just a flat slip on shoe.
In our family, most of the ladies prefer heels, and only wear Khus-sa for Mehndi parties. I am really not a heel person, so for most minor functions/parties they are my shoe of choice. Khus-sa come in a rainbow of colors, and are generally covered in embroidery, sequins, beads, and tiny mirrors.
