Thanksgiving Part 2 - The Beasts

Okay, not beasts.... Dogs... but "Beasts" rhymed with "Feasts" from Thanksgiving Part 1.

I love my sister's dogs. She has the ability to pick the best dogs and then train them so easily it seems like magic.
So here are just a few of the pictures I took of the dogs we had around during our visit to her house last week. This is Elmer and I snuggling on the couch. He's a 8 month old Mastiff mix and is so sweet. He as a tail that can clear a coffee table and he's pretty sure he's only 10 pounds so it's okay if he sits on you.

Katie and Elmer. Some photographer I am.... neither of them is looking at me.
Here's Scooter. Katie's 13 (?) year old doggie. He is the best dog in the world. He and Katie understand each other like no other dog and owner I've ever seen.

How about a big kiss, Mom?

I love this picture of the two of them.

Elmer! Nice way to interrupt a photo shoot.... sit your big bottom right in between Katie and Scooter.

Get 'em Scoot!

Hungry, Kate?? The picture is kinda dark so you may not be able to see that Katie is biting him (gently of course) and he could care less. Maybe that's some of her training magic..... bite the dog regularly so he'll be tolerant. Hmmm.... Oscar! Come here, Oscar!

What a nice, calm afternoon relaxing on the couch.....

Elmer!! Again with the sitting on people!

Mia came to visit with my mom. She's a Jack Russell/Poodle mix and so smart and never tires of a game of fetch.

And then there's our dog, Oscar...... Katie was nice enough to tuck him into her coat while we went out to take pictures of the farm animals. It was a cold, windy day and Oscar is.... well.... delicate.

He's also never met a goat. June was very curious about the little creature in the coat. Oscar was pretty terrified and tried to hide in Katie's coat.
So, there are the dogs. This Thanksgiving story is turning into quite a gripping saga, isn't it? Part 3 coming soon to a computer near you.
